MQDC Holds “Coastal Cleanup” at Chonburi

4 March 2021, Chonburi – MQDC with local environment volunteers and the Municipality of Na Jomtien held an inaugural “Coastal Cleanup” at Na Jomtien.

The project aims to promote coastal conservation by collecting waste on the beach of Ban Amphur, enhancing the environment amid the decline in tourism due to anti-COVID measures. The activity attracted 300 participants, from both the public and private sectors, drawing volunteers from Trash Hero, hotel workers, and pupils from local schools.

During the event the local plastic waste processing community enterprise demonstrated how ocean waste can be upcycled into bricks to add value and help tackle ocean plastic.
