Dr. Singh Presents on Circular Economy at SB 2021 Conference

24 February 2021, Bangkok – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Chief Advisor to RISC, spoke at SB 2021 ASIA PACIFIC, a virtual conference across 4 countries held under the theme “Regenerative Brands. Better Future” by PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).
 

Dr. Singh spoke on “Circular Economy in Architecture” and how architecture can advance circularity and innovation, using fewer resources and resolving waste and environmental issues. RISC’s Well-Being Material Library collects eco-friendly materials and shares knowledge on new alternative materials to help create a circular economy.
 

He also gave examples of upcycling waste to give it enhanced value, such as concrete curbstones and road asphalt featuring ocean waste, the reuse of piles in aggregate, and the creation of anti-microbial carpets with upcycled material in MQDC projects, promoting the Circular Economy and a sustainable business philosophy to achieve “For All Well-Being”.
 

After a panel discussion, Dr. Singh and experts on developing the Circular Economy held a workshop at FutureTales Lab to brainstorm and discuss ideas to give used resources value and new uses.
