23–25 June 2022, Bangkok – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Chief Advisor to the Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) by MQDC, spoke at the Global Summit of Women 2022 (GSW 2022) hosted by Thailand.

Dr. Singh presented “Think Beyond Sustainability” as a core concept for society to drive environmental innovation under MQDC’s “Sustainnovation Living” approach at GSW 2022.

The concept comes from the vision of Mrs. Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of MQDC, to support the country's development under a goal of “For All Well-Being” to improve quality of living for all life.

“We need to think beyond sustainability,” said Dr. Singh.

Dr. Singh explained about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which many countries have been talking about for decades. But their effectiveness isn’t proven and most people still overlook such issues.

RISC aims to connect these topics to support sustainability with its focus on Plants & Biodiversity, Air Quality, Happiness Science, Material & Resources, and Resilience Science for adaptation, survival, and growth, aligned with the research center's focuses on the environment being studied.

“The world and society are now experiencing many crises from war, pandemic, climate change, and the global downturn, creating stress and reducing life quality, so we must start to be aware of how to make the world a better place,” he said.

Dr. Singh also presented The Forestias, the “Enchanted Community District in the Forest”. He explained the project’s goals under MQDC’s principle of “For All Well-Being” to provide the best life to all life.

“Many projects that can achieve another level and reach the destination as soon as possible may require assistance and concrete policies from the government,” he added.
