The knowledge-sharing society under MQDC is investing over THB30 million in the initiative, involving Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, and Srinakharinwirot University.
Mr. Assada Kaeokhiao, President of Whizdom at MQDC, said: "We have organized the Whizdom Scholarship project to support Thai youths as a community of smart and good-hearted people, helping the new generation develop themselves in all dimensions.
"With this project we aim to give students the opportunity to fully focus on learning, while Whizdom takes care of their accommodation."
Mr. Krissayuth Chavavitayatham, Vice President of Whizdom Society, said the scheme would initially help 10 students. The scheme will gradually link up with higher education institutions across the country under its planned expansion.
"Recipients must be students who lack financial resources, have good character, and participate in university and social initiatives, without restrictions in their field of study or academic performance," he said.
The scholarship students will live in 8 ready-to-move-in units at 3 projects by MQDC's young-generation Whizdom brand: Whizdom @Punnawithi Station, Whizdom Avenue Ratchada-Ladprao, and Whizdom Station Ratchada-Thapra.
