PROJECT PROGRESS

The central utilities plant (CUP) provides new “smart city” infrastructure to help achieve environmental sustainability.

The CUP enables a “district energy” approach, supplying chilled water through a network of tunnels to cool all the residences and buildings across the site.

• Overall progress is 90.05%.
• Building structure is 100% complete and architecture is 100% finished.
• The thermal energy storage tank is 100% complete.
• Operating MEP (mechanical/electrical/pumping work) is 88% complete.
• The cold-water pipe system is now 100% connected with cold-water pipes in the project’s tunnels.
• Test runs of the District Cooling System (chiller) are now underway.
