The central utility plant (CUP) provides new “smart city” infrastructure to help achieve environmental sustainability.

The CUP enables a “district energy” approach, supplying chilled water through a network of tunnels to cool all the residences and buildings across the site.

• Central utility plant construction is 100% complete.
• Building structure and architecture are both 100% complete.
• Thermal energy storage tank is 100% complete.
• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) work is 100% complete.
• District cooling system and its testing and commissioning are 100% complete.
• Test run of district cooling system, chiller, and connection to cold-water pipe system and project tunnels are 100% complete.
