Vitamins B and C are water-soluble so they don’t stay in your body for long. You lose them in urine and sweat. So you need to get them every day. If you take too much, they’re automatically expelled. You should take them in meals to keep them in your body longer.

Vitamin B helps restore your body. It helps your nervous system and brain. It boosts immunity too. There are many types of B vitamin you need. Your daily diet might not have enough. So taking B-complex vitamins is a good solution too.

Vitamin C boosts your immune system, preventing colds. It also helps strengthen collagen for paler skin. You can get it from common vegetables and fruits.

Vitamin D is good for absorbing calcium for strong bones and teeth. But it also stimulates body tissues. It reduces blood sugar, which is important at 50+. It helps fight colon cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer. It counters depression by releasing serotonin and can reduce chronic muscle pain.

Vitamin D can be found in milk, eggs, mushrooms, oysters, even in the morning sun. Fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines are an excellent source. Vitamin D supplements are another great option.

Dry skin is common at 50+. But vitamin E helps keep your skin hydrated and it has other benefits too.

Vitamin E is a crucial vitamin for your body. As well as adding moisture to your skin it protects from heart disease. It prevent red blood cell rupturing and helps you escape thrombosis and blood clots. It reduce inflammation and absorbs damaging free radicals as an antioxidant.

Vitamin E is in fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, mangos, kiwis, broccoli, spinach, pink dragon fruit, strawberries, and also foods such as beans, eggs, or oils from nuts.

At 50+ your body has free radicals. These are your enemies, who threaten your well-being. So antioxidant vitamins are crucial. You should take several to protect you best.

Vitamins A, E, C help fight free radicals. You can get them in vegetables and fruit like prunes, grapes, berries, guava, and oranges. Broccoli and spinach are great too. Look for vegetables and fruit that are fresh and free from chemicals.

But if you don’t eat lots of fruit and vegetables, dietary supplements are another good option.
