The Forestias Wins 3 International Design Awards (IDA)

The Forestias by MQDC received 3 trophies at the 15th annual International Design Awards (IDA), winning Gold in “Architecture Urban Design”, Silver in “Sustainable Living/Green” and an “Honorable Mention” for its Forest Pavilion in “Architecture”.

16 January 2022, Los Angeles – The Forestias by MQDC received 3 trophies at the 15th annual International Design Awards (IDA), winning Gold in “Architecture Urban Design”, Silver in “Sustainable Living/Green” and an “Honorable Mention” for its Forest Pavilion in “Architecture”.

The Forestias was the sole Thai project among the global contest’s winners, selected on a point system by its expert jury.

MQDC’s 398-rai forested district at Bangna-Trad KM7 dedicates 56% of its area to green space in a neighborhood designed in every aspect for healthy, happy living.

The mixed-use district combines amenities for leisure, retail, culture, and healthcare with a choice of exclusive residential developments: Whizdom for new-gen lifestyles, Mulberry Grove for extended families, The Aspen Tree for older adults, and Six Senses for upscale wellness in nature.

The Forest Pavilion welcomes visitors to The Forestias with a design that promotes sustainability, nature, and wellness.

The striking roof hosts 2 green areas that help reduce solar gain by over 40%. A central open-air corridor brings visitors through to the forest at the district’s heart.

The International Design Awards (IDA) was set up in 2007 by designers, thinkers, and entrepreneurs to recognize, celebrate and promote legendary design visionaries and to uncover emerging talent in architecture, interior, product, graphic, and fashion design.

The awards are peer-reviewed and anonymously judged by an influential jury panel of experienced academics and established design industry professionals.

These latest trophies add to an impressive tally for The Forestias, which also recently won at the IFLA ASIA-PAC Landscape Architecture Awards and the Outstanding Property Awards London (OPAL).
