MQDC Points the Path to Ethical Business in Global “Leaders on Purpose” Study
February 2021, Bangkok – Mrs. Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp, the Founder of MQDC, features in the 2020 Leaders on Purpose study, where the heads of 14 top companies share insights on how businesses can “build back better” after the COVID-19 outbreak.
The annual report is the 3rd by Leaders on Purpose, an organization founded by leaders, experts, and academics from Harvard University, Unilever, the World Bank, and London School of Economics.
The initiative aims to promote an economy that leaves no one behind by sharing insights from leaders of ethical, sustainable businesses.
Mrs. Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp explains in the report how MQDC finds ways to help society and the planet at each location.
“We make sure that we don’t do something to compete with what is already doing well,” she said.
“But we fill in the gap of what is missing. Then our property becomes an ecosystem for the rest of that location, and it adds value to the community.”
Rather than competing with other businesses, MQDC regards them as “friends” to whom it can add value, she added.
Leaders on Purpose claims its latest report has special relevance for the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak, when businesses will need to “build back better”.
The 14 business figures quoted in the report head companies including AXA, Chobani, Ecolab, Equity Group Holdings, Fortune Media, Iberdrola, Johnson & Johnson, MQDC, Natura &Co, Orsted, Vodafone Ghana, Voyager Space Holdings, Rosewood Hotel Group and Wolters Kluwer.
