11 May 2021, Bangkok – One.Six Development, the developer of the award-winning, ultra-luxury The Strand Thonglor condominium, has teamed up with Zipmex, the leading Asian digital asset platform, to help people buy a residence using cryptocurrencies.

Zipmex’s ZipSpend program lets homebuyers use Bitcoin (BTC), Etherium (ETH), Tether (USDT), and Zipmex Token (ZMT).

The Strand Thonglor is a 30-storey condominium in the heart of Bangkok’s hippest district, designed with understated luxury and world-class standards for discerning residents. Amenities include all-day dining, a speakeasy bar, restaurants, a business lounge and micro-office, and The Strand Park.

One.Six Development was co-founded in 2017 by next-generation real estate developers Ms. Tanyatip Chearavanont and Mr. Chawin Athakravisunthorn.

Dr. Akalarp Yimwilai, CEO and Co-Founder of Zipmex Thailand, added that buyers can now pay their deposits with crypto but final transfer of ownership still requires a traditional bank paper trail.

At a prestigious location a minute’s walk from Thonglor skytrain station at the front of Soi Thonglor, The Strand Thonglor has an estimated investment of THB4.8 billion. Prices start at THB17.9 million. The project is set to complete by the third quarter of 2021.
