RISC Launches World-First “Well-Being Design & Engineering Program"
4 April 2023, Bangkok – RISC has launched the world's first “Well-Being Design & Engineering Program” to develop “Well-Being Champions” to drive change across many fields.
Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) is a research hub set up by MQDC to advance new approaches for well-being and sustainability in design and construction.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Chief Advisor to RISC and Course President, said that the "Well-Being Design & Engineering Program" gives students insights from real projects to apply in the real world to create good health and complete well-being.
Well-being involves system engineering for planning and managing the entirety of project development of homes and projects, he said.
RISC selected the initial 50 students from their professional experience to create a first generation of “Well-Being Champions” who can drive the city and organizations across many sectors to change approach and target well-being.
Mr. Thaweejit Chantrasaka, Former President of the Association of Architects and Managing Director of SASI D&M, said that he was delighted to attend. “It's good that the private sector has created a program like this because it will influence the country’s development, greatly enhancing our society.”
The “Well-Being Design & Engineering Program” will welcome its second intake in 2024. If you are interested in being a “Well-Being Champion”, please follow updates at https://risc.in.th/
