DTGO-Backed Foundation Helps Open "Light of Heart" in Tak
22 November 2024, Tak – Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation with Umphang Hospital held the opening ceremony for the "Light of Heart" maternity unit in Penkeling village at Umphang in Tak.
The foundation provided 5.9 million baht for construction. Buddharaksa Foundation gathered personal contributions of 850,700 baht to equip the facility.
"Light of Heart" includes a delivery room, a waiting room, an emergency treatment room, an OPD room, a malaria clinic, and a doctor’s room.
The building will enhance access to healthcare for 20,000 local people.
Dhanin Tawee Chearavanont Foundation gave gifts to 40 families expecting children with great support from Mr. Chanand Sophonpanich and Ms. Kamolnan Chearavanont Sophonpanich.
The foundation also gave essentials for newborns with support from Voices Foundation.
A mother had already given birth at "Light of Heart" within a day of its opening.
