MQDC Research Head Wins “Saint Francis” Award
8 August 2023, Bangkok – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Chief Sustainnovation Officer of MQDC’s Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC), received the “Saint Francis of Assisi Award” for world-saving innovation.
A representative of the Vatican presented the award at the Parliamentary Building.
RISC is a research hub to drive innovation for well-being and sustainability across the property sector.
Research by RISC’s researchers is applied in MQDC developments such as The Forestias, the 64-hectare forest district at Bangna.
RISC has developed standards for conserving green spaces in urban developments and found new ways to “upcycle” plastic waste in building materials.
The award is part of the “Power of Love” collaboration between the Sub-Committee on Morals and Ethics under the Committee on Religions, Morals, Ethics, Arts and Culture and the Catholic Association of Thailand and Port Authority of Thailand.
