24 November 2020, Bangkok – MQDC’s latest “LIVING FORWARD by MQDC” episode focuses on “Sustainable Breathing in Recurrent PM2.5 Cycle”.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Chief Advisor to RISC, with Dr. Jittapat Choruengwiwat, Senior Vice President, look at the causes and effect of PM2.5 particulates, spread in many areas from burning of plant materials and garbage. The tiny particles can trigger respiratory syndromes such as allergies and asthma, with an impact on tourist and the economy.
Dr. Jittapat explains how research can help reduce PM2.5. Research into air-purifying technology is driving the development of Fahsai, a hybrid air purifier tower at 101 True Digital Park, and Fresh One, an electrostatic air purifier at Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard. Such devices can lead to the creation of a City Safe Zone and advance research for a sustainable future.
